**Important Announcement Regarding Recent Leadership Changes**
The 2025 season started out with a new President and Board. Unfortunately, we are aware that some of you may have already heard about the recent removal of our league’s newest President due to alleged embezzlement. We want to reassure everyone that we are handling the matter in a legal and appropriate manner. The individual in question has been officially removed from the league, and we are fully cooperating with law enforcement as they conduct their investigation.
At this time, we kindly ask for your patience as we work to get things back on track. We are committed to ensuring the integrity of our league moving forward. We also request that you refrain from taking matters into your own hands, as this could interfere with the ongoing investigation by local authorities.

For over 50 years. the Oxnard Mermaids Girls Slow-Pitch Softball League has been open to all girls between the ages of 4 to 17, with the objective to instill the ideals of good sportsmanship, teamwork, honesty, and empowerment. Though we strive for friendly competition, we focus on positive attitude and the desire to learn. Most importantly, Mermaids softball offers an extended family, a sense of belonging and a place to build lifelong friendships!
